Happy almost Friday, everyone! Well, today is day 4 of my smoothie bowl challenge and I am HOOKED! Dare I say I feel healthier already? Meh, let’s not get crazy here. Anyway, today I am going to share what I think is my favorite smoothie bowl thus far, my Green Goddess Smoothie Bowl.
As is the story of my life, this is a nice and simple recipe that comes together quickly. I will say since this is a thicker smoothie bowl (which I have come to prefer, personally) be kind to your blender. We luckily have a Ninja and it is amazingly powerful so we don’t have a lot of problems. That being said though, if you’re using a standard blender, be gentle with it. This recipe is pretty thick, so it can be tougher on less powerful blenders. It will still work, it just might take a bit more time. You’re still good. I got you.
The ingredients for this one are pretty straightforward and readily available. The only thing that is “special” is the sprirulina. Depending on where you live and what stores you have a your disposal. Usually larger stores will have some sort of option, but when in doubt, you can grab some here on good ol’ Amazon.
Without further ado…..
Green Goddess Smoothie Bowl
This is super simple and super tasty
- 2 frozen and chopped bananas
- 1/2 cup plain or honey yogurt
- 1 tbs milk (I used almond)
- 1 1/2 tsp spirulina powder
Add everything into the blender and blend until smooth, May need to stir/smash down a bit periodically depending on your blenders power
Top with coconut, yogurt covered raisins and any topping of your choice
That’s it for today, my fine foodie friends! Be sure to check out the other smoothie bowl recipes from earlier this week like my Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie Bowl, Maple Walnut Smoothie Bowl, and my Simple Berry Lemon Smoothie Bowl.
Until next time, happy nom noms!
