Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie Bowl

Hey everyone! Guess what time it is? It’s peanut butter and jelly time! Oh man, I love me a PB&J. There is never a bad time for one either. This quick recipe for a Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie Bowl will let you eat PB&J for breakfast but with zero shame. WIN!

It might not be the prettiest smoothie bowl out there, but man. It’s GOOD.

This blend of frozen berries, frozen bananas, yogurt, and natural peanut butter is simply a winner. When I was trying to decide what smoothie bowl I wanted today, I was a little stumped at first. After looking around in my pantry and getting the sudden urge to grab a spoon and just devour a bunch of PB straight from the jar, I had my “ah ha” moment. No, not like the 80’s rockband, just to be clear.

Nom nom nom nom nom nom noms.

For those of you guys who have a peanut allergy, first of all, I am sorry. Second of all, almond butter or any other type of nut butter would be just fine in this. I used peanut butter just beacuse I love it and I have a ton of it on hand. Seriously, a TON.

Let’s do this!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie Bowl

So, darn, good.

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • agave to taste
  1. Mix all ingredients in blender till creamy and smooth. **add milk of your choice to taste to thin if you’d like a thinner consistency**

  2. Pour into a bowl and add a few drops of peanut butter and swirl in.

  3. Top with fresh berries, flax seeds, or even more peanut butter.

  4. Enjoy!
