The Best Gluten Free Alfredo Sauce Ever

Hello my fine foodie friends! I just want to say that I am stoked for today! I love alfredo sauce, but being gluten free, it can be really hard to find a gluten free version that tastes good. Well, we’re all in luck because I have truly found the best gluten free alfredo sauce ever!

Look at all of that deliciousness!

I wish I could take credit for this recipe’s creation, but alas, I can not. My husband, who is actually an amazing cook, found this one. At the time, he we were making zucchini noodle pasta and were looking for a sauce to go with it. Luckily, he found this amazing recipe here!

Here it is in all of its glory! I added mushrooms, and fresh sage. It was total perfection!

This is not a recipe for a “healthy sauce”, just to be clear. In fact, don’t tell your cardiologist what is in here…ever. It’s a giant butter, and cheese-fest in fact. I guess that’s what makes it so good though. Also, it comes together very quickly and there is a fair amount of whisking so be aware. Just have all of your ingredients prepped and ready to go, and you’ll be just fine. You’ll reap those delicious rewards and will definitely want to save this one for later.

The Best Gluten Free Alfredo Sauce Ever

Cheesy, buttery, creaming gluttony. All gluten free!

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  1. In a medium saucepan, add butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Cook over medium heat until cheese and butter are melted. 

  2. Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning,and salt and pepper.Continue to whisk until smooth. Then add the grated parmesan cheese.

  3. Bring to a simmer and continue to cook for about 3-5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Toss it with your favorite gluten free pasta or zoodles!

I used gluten free penne pasta and added shiitake mushrooms, baby Portobello mushrooms, a tiny bit of truffle oil, and fresh sage with mine. It was delicious!
